Horizon Treadmill: Review Of Top Model
Horizon Treadmill
Horizon treadmills are known for their comfort and the latest models have suspension system that reduces the impact on your feet.
The following are the general advantages of horizon treadmills
- They use continuous duty horsepower motors (the same ones used in commercial treadmills) and so they are not overworked at high speeds or underpowered at low speeds. You will get consistent power whether you choose to walk or run.
- They are more quiet on average compared to other treadmills, meaning you can listen to music or watch TV while running.
The most popular model is the T101 which I review below.
Review of The Horizon Treadmill T101
Advantages
Reasonably priced at under $700. Dispells the myth that you cannot get a quality treadmill for under $1000.
Has many of the features that higher end treadmills have including calories burned, wide range incline and so on.
Many local dealers such as Play It Again Sports are licensed to service them so you don’t even have to call Horizon directly. You can simply walk into a local dealer store and get service.
Pretty stable and comfortable for people under 200 pounds
Disadvantages
Does not completely fold up so when you are not using it, it still takes up quite a bit of space
The wheels that are supposed to make moving it around easier don’t quite work so it is rather difficult to move around especially if you have carpeted floors.
Gets wobbly and shaky when used at high speeds (above 5mph) by people over 200 pounds
